Contact EOR Sweden with your hiring question

Hiring in Sweden throws up questions that a stock answer rarely settles. Which collective agreement fits the role? Does ITP1 pension apply to your hire? Will a candidate from outside the EU meet the SEK 34,470 monthly salary Migrationsverket requires for a work permit from 16 June 2026? Send us your question and a specialist in Swedish employment replies for your case.

Why foreign employers choose EOR Sweden for Swedish hires

You need no aktiebolag of your own. We sign the contract as employer of record, run payroll and file the monthly AGI with Skatteverket. Finding and choosing the candidate stays with you.

Suits one hire or twenty

Many clients start with a single employee in Sweden and add colleagues over the years. The arrangement can run for as long as the role exists, and moving the staff to a company of your own later stays open.

A flat fee you can budget

Our charge is from USD 560 for each employee every month, about SEK 5,550 at the European Central Bank’s reference rate for 24 September 2026. Salary, the 31.42% arbetsgivaravgifter (employer social contributions) and any pension due under a collective agreement appear as separate lines, so the invoice shows what Swedish law and the agreement add on top of pay.

Local rules we manage

Swedish employment has moving parts that surprise newcomers: preliminary tax from Skatteverket’s skattetabeller, a monthly AGI return per employee, sjuklön for days 1–14 less the karensavdrag, a semestertillägg of 0.43% per holiday day, and the 2022 LAS rules on notice and fixed-term conversion. Our payroll team works with these every month and applies them to each payslip.

What people ask

Typical questions cover ITP1 pension at 4.5% of salary, the youth contribution rate of 20.81% for staff born 2003–2007, the 6-month maximum probation, and how Försäkringskassan takes over sick pay from day 15. If the answer depends on facts we lack, we say so.

The same contact each month

You deal with a named account contact who knows your employees and your invoice history, so you do not repeat the background each time a question comes up.

Fitted to each employee

An employee aged 67 or over carries employer contributions of only 10.21%. A hire earning above SEK 88,801 a month may qualify for expert tax relief from Forskarskattenämnden. A parent on föräldraledighet draws benefit from Försäkringskassan. We check how each rule applies before the contract is drafted.

How a typical engagement runs

  • You approve each contract before we send it to the employee
  • Payslips and AGI returns follow the Swedish monthly cycle
  • Rate changes such as the 2026 youth reduction are flagged
  • Questions answered in plain English

Your HR team for Sweden, without the hiring

Swedish HR support without an HR hire

A generic HR platform can tell you that Sweden has parental leave. It cannot tell you how 480 days of föräldrapenning affect your cover plans, or whether a union must be consulted before a role is cut. Our specialists answer those questions for your staff.

Your employees in Sweden contact the team directly about payslips, leave and sick reporting, and you hear about anything that needs your decision.

  • Employee queries on pay and leave handled
  • Your input requested only when a choice is yours
